Bob was a generous benefactor of my mother, who kept a family genealogy of the Binger family. She has been asking about him, she is 97. I just found out today that he passed away. He was an angel in my mother's life (Ruth Dulany Wood).

George and Bob at the International Crane Foundation in April , 2008. At 4:00 a.m. that morning we were in a blind watching Prairie Chickens, Go Bob!

Bob was a dear friend role model for me as I strive to help endangered cranes worldwide. We enjoyed sharing stories about over adventures, especially those in the arctic. I will always remember his with great affection and just hope my life can be a long and productive as Bob's. he was a blessing to life on earth.

I just returned from assignment in the Philippines and would normally look forward to debriefing Bob about such reporting trips. He remained deeply engaged with world affairs until the very end, one of the most impressive people I have ever met...a compassionate man who led by example. I am grateful for Bob's support and faithful viewership of PBS and most especially for fellowship I treasured and will deeply miss.

We are fortunate to live on a farm in Goodhue County Bob and Betty bought in around 1970. We treasure the place, and think of Bob often. He was a remarkable man. He stopped in to see us not so very long ago on his way to Mayo for an annual checkup. We'll always remember his keen interest in everything, and that wonderful smile. Our most sincere condolences.

Hard to imagine the world and the nature world without Bob. A strong voice will echo for years/decades to come.

From all of us at the MN Explorers Club, happy trails!

Hello, my name is Greg Brown, Minnesota Sub-Chapter Chairman of the Explorers Club and I would like to offer my sincerest condolences at the loss of Bob from myself and the member of the Explorers Club MN and Nationally. I had been trying to get in touch with him and am sorry that I never had the chance to meet him, though some of our members knew him well. Peace Bob, have a nice sled ride in the next world! Sincerely, Greg Brown.
