I am saddened to learn of Cal's death. I was very distressed to learn that she was bedridden when I last visited her at Eden Park on August 30th. But she was as humorous and accepting of her injuries from the fall she suffered as she was of everything else that happened to her during her life. Well, she will suffer no more now.
I met Cal many years ago through her late brother, Boynton "Sam" Snee, whom I had transported from Washington, DC to Rutland when I traveled to Vermont to visit my younger sister, Olga Cassella, who died last November. I only got to know Cal really well, however, during the last two years following Sam's death.
Cal was such a lovely lady and I will miss talking to her on the phone and visiting her when I return to Vermont. Now she has joined her beloved husband, Peter, and the siblings who have predeceased her.
My sincere condolences to the family.

I was surprised and saddened to read of Cal's passing. We don't have many of the Summer St neighbors left now. My sympathy to all.
Now that she and Pete, along with my parents, are all together again they'll be needing a deck of cards and a jar full of pennies!
