I was friends with C J when he was a student at Lamar College and worked at the White House downtown. He also sang at my wedding in 1963. He was a hard worker and fine Christian young man. Sorry to read of his passing. I watched the video and enjoyed the pictures reflecting his well spent life.

Les was my goto guy for appliances and good advice for the last 11 years. I enjoyed his kindness and knowledge so much that I would drop in on him just to say hello. Today I learned of his connection with J.F.Dobie High School from my wife, a member of the class of 1980. We can all morn his passing but those of you who knew him well have a lot of life and accomplishment to celebrate. I will miss him.

He was a grand person and had such a positive impact on so many kids when he taught choir at South Park High school in Beaumont, Tx., in the 60's. Prayers for his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Leslie for a little over a year, I found him to be one of the kindest most decent men I have ever met.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Mr. Leslie. I also was in his Music program from 1972-1976. He was a great teacher of my love for music. I sang at several of his churches he ministered to. The years has passed and I have thought of him a number of times. I will keep his family in my prayers. I know he will be missed.

My prayers go out to family & friends of Mr.C.J. Leslie. This man taught me my love for Music. 1972 to 1976, I studied voice and traveled many places along with him to learn his passion for this art. I will always keep a place in my heart for this teacher who took me to heights I never would have known I had inside without him. Thank you Lord for giving me a chance to know Mr.Leslie. R.I.P
