C. RICHARD "DICK"
Of West Lafayette, Ohio, C. Richard "Dick" Krall, 71, on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 20, 1932 to the late Carl S. and E. Ruth Krall. He retired after 42 years as an editor at Herald Press; bookselling and representative for publishers: Word, Abbington, Westminster-John Knox and Baker Book House. He was well traveled, covering territory in many states. He was an avid bicyclist, actively involved in the building of the Tuscarawas C&M Rail Trail. He was also a great train enthusiast; creating model railroad layouts and traveling by train whenever possible. He was a positive influence in the lives of everyone he met. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Irene and sons, Carl Krall, of Scottdale, PA, Michael Krall, of Scottdale, PA and Steven (Rachel) Krall, of Carmel, IN; four stepchildren, nine grandchildren, a brother, John H. (Naomi) Krall, of Harrisonburg, VA and sister, Ruth E. Krall, of Goshen, IN; his parents and his first wife Mary Jean Krall preceded him in death. Calling hours are 6-8pm Monday, June 7 at the GIVEN-DAWSON FUNERAL HOME, in Coshocton, OH. Funeral service will be at 10:30am Tuesday, June 8 with pastors Helen Glick and Rob Burdette at the First Mennonite Church, Sugarcreek, Ohio. Burial will be at 11am Wednesday, June 9 in Scottdale, PA. For additional information or to offer online condolences, visit www.krall.org and click on comments.

Rest in peace, Dick. I loved the years I worked with you at MPH. Reviewing children“s book, editing Provident Book Finder, book sales at church conferences, bird watching, picnics at Ohiopyle are all vivid memories. You made them special with your fun-loving and enthusiastic personality. Thanks for giving me a good start in my career.
