Caitlin Sunny Ballard

Caitlin Sunny Ballard went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

Caitlin was born on July 20, 2012 in El Paso, TX to parents Nathan Ismael Ballard and Erica Olivas. Caitlin, a kind, gentle soul, who loved to dance and be the center of attention. Never met a person whom she did not refer to as a 'friend.' Caitlin's will to embrace life was seen in her everyday actions as there was no obstacle she didn't take on with a smile. Caitlin was born with a Congenital Heart Defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. On March 18, 2014 she was blessed with a Heart Transplant and was given a second chance at life and lived it to the fullest. She was a member of the British Ballet dance group, where she danced tap and ballet. There wasn't a mirror or a photo opportunity that she passed up as she always took a moment to look at herself shine. She attended Kindergarten classes at Hurshel Antwine Elementary where she loved her teachers and classmates. Caitlin loved her "bro," all of her cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents; and was adored by all in return. Caitlin is the true epitome of an Angel on Earth. We are forever grateful and blessed to have been chosen to be parents to our precious daughter who will always live in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, George Sylvester "Sonny" Ballard, and survived by her parents, Nathan and Erica; her brother, Nathan; paternal grandmother, Yolanda Ballard; maternal grandparents, Sergio and Patricia Olivas; and many of her cousins, aunts and uncles; and her beloved dog, Bella.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Cielo Vista Church, 3585 Lee Trevino Dr., El Paso, TX 79936.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills Blvd, El Paso, TX 79936

Rite of Committal will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79938
