CAITLIN NELSON

Caitlin Mary Nelson Devoted daughter, Sacred Heart University student, 20 Caitlin Mary Nelson, 20, of Clark, N.J., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to St. Helen's Church, 1600 Rahway Ave., Westfield, N.J., to attend the visitation today, Friday, April 7, from 3 to 8 p.m., and the Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 8, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. To offer condolences please visit www.walterjohnsonfh.com Caitlin was born in Summit, N.J., to Rosanne (Iuzzolino) Nelson and the late James A. Nelson. She was a lifelong resident of Clark. She was a junior at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn., where she was studying social work. She was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority, where she served as vice president of community service. Caitlin was also a member of Camp Sea Stars North and the Resiliency Center of Newtown, Conn. At St. Helen's Church she was a peer minister, a participant in the Catholic Heart Work Camp and Sr. Pat's Kids Camp. Caitlin gave in every aspect of her life, including donating her organs as a final act of giving. Caitlin was predeceased by her beloved father, James A. Nelson; her maternal grandparents, George and Anna Iuzzolino, and her paternal grandparents, Robert and Catherine Nelson. She is survived by her devoted mother, Rosanne Nelson and her dear friend, John Fitzgerald, and her loving sister, Anne Catherine Vetri and her husband, Frank.
