Caleb Spater Obituary
The cherished son of Edward and Karen Spater and loving brother of Isabel Spater, Caleb brought joy and light into the lives of all who knew him. He was the treasured grandson of Lawrence and Judith Bernstein and Albert Spater, and the devoted nephew of Sheryl and Marc Kaye and Shirley Spater.
Caleb found deep purpose in his work as a caregiver at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where his empathy and dedication shone every day. His patients and colleagues alike admired his genuine kindness and calm presence. Outside of his professional life, Caleb was a spontaneous and courageous traveler, always ready to explore the unknown and embrace new experiences with a sense of adventure that inspired those around him.
He had a special love for animals and held a deep bond with his dogs, Sam and Sargent. One of his greatest joys was fishing with his father, creating memories that will forever live in the hearts of his family. Caleb was also an officer of his local chapter of the New England Hemophilia Association (NEHA), where he generously dedicated countless hours in service to a cause close to his heart.
In accordance with his family's wishes, arrangements will be private. Those who wish to honor Caleb's memory may do so through donations to the New England Hemophilia Association at https://www.newenglandhemophilia.org/.
Caleb's boundless compassion, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for those around him will never be forgotten. He will be dearly missed.

there´s so many things we had planned out as a group to do in the near future and now we´re just back at square one I know you wouldn´t have like that we are just letting life get by us you would have want us to keep going and I could already hear the Jokes from you to make me laugh and in some way I wish we hang out with you one last time called you one last time but I feel guilt and shame and anger at myself because maybe if we hangout sooner or I called sooner you would still be here with us and it´s something I will be living with for the rest of my life but I don´t ever regret the memories we had even if they weren´t captured on camera but all that matters is it was captured in our hearts so thank you for that Caleb my Best-friend the older brother I could ask for and the Best Duncle Grayson could ever have.

We were lucky enough in the bleeding disorders community and at NBDF to have Caleb as an advocate. I personally interacted with Caleb many times at NEHA events and our Washington Days most recently in March, where Caleb and I spoke for some time about our community, advocacy, and his future. We are heartbroken by his loss and thank Caleb for all of his advocacy to make the world brighter for people like us and him.
On behalf of myself and the rest of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation advocacy team, we are devastated by this loss and wish Caleb´s family and friends peace and strength. May his memory be a blessing and on top of his many other accomplishments, those who knew him outside of our community should know how grateful we are for him, and the impact he´s had on the bleeding disorders community.
