Dr. Calvin Joseph Lyons

Back in 1955, he made house calls. You sure don't see that anymore. Many fond memories.

So sorry to hear of the death of Dr. Lyons. He was a kind and wonderful Dr. and person. Sympathy to Pat and his family.

I remember Dr. Lyons well. He brought me in to this world and was my doctor for many years. Good man and great doctor. I know the world was a better place for many with him in it and I know he will be missed.

I remember you making house calls, so many years ago. Condolences to the Lyons family.

Dr. Lyons was a sweet, caring, funny, wonderful man. He will be dearly missed by many including my family. He replaced my family doctor, when he retired, and my oldest son had turned 13 months old. My oldest is now 21... Many years spent in his office. What I hold closest to my heart is how Calvin & Pat have always made you feel like a person, listening and understanding... Never a patient. Truly one of a kind.

He delivered me and took care of me and my family throughout my childhood. Gentle and caring doctor, wonderful man.

My birth doctor thanks for handling me with care as you did so many other babies, the lost for this world is a gain for heaven. You will be missed by many.

Dr. Lyons was a wonderful human being. He was my doctor for years. He listened when I talked and made me comfortable. I trusted him so much, he became my daughters doctor when I gave birth to her. He would call himself her grandpa Lyons. I will miss him dearly, I know because I have missed him for years already. God has let a good man into heaven... He was my doctor as a child. My dad would have to take me for office visits. One of my favorite memories was sitting in my dad's lap and reading the Children's bible as we waited. My family loved this man. He was a great doctor. Thank you for taking care of us. My you rest in peace. Prayer's for your loving family and friends. He was my Doctor from the day I was born 32 yrs ago. He was our family Doctor to my family before then. He was a kind man and a wonderful Dr. He will be missed. May you rest in peace. Prayers for his wife Pat, his children and grandchildren.

I am truly sorry for the loss of not just a good doctor but an even better man. I remember the first time I went in to see him. He sat down and talked to me, not at me. He treated me like he had known me for fifty years. He treated me like a friend and not a patient. I will always remember that Snow White hair and gentle voice. He reminded me of an old country doc. It made me feel at ease being a country boy myself. He will be missed by so many. He took great care of me. May God bless you all during this time.

He was my family Dr. for years.. Delivered my three children .. My kids all love him and always took there new babies so he could check them out... He was like family.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

My thoughts and prayers to his family. Dr. Lyons was our family doctor years ago when I was a small child and we lived in North Shore. I remember being sick and he came and saw me at our home. I don't remember what was wrong, just remember the doctor making a house call. He was a very good doctor and person.

Sorry to hear about this. He was so good to me and my family - especially my grandmother (Mima Ashby). I have the fondest memories of him. Condolences for the family.

This is very sad news. I worked for Dr. Lyons and Pat for a few years. He was always trying to be a match maker for me. Well guess what? 19 years later I am still married to my husband that walked into his office while I worked there. So I would go into the room with Dr. Lyons as he saw his patients. Before we walked into that room, I told him that I had gone dancing at the same place as this guy he was about to see. He started joking around with me and I told him that he better not say a word... Lol. Well, we walk into the room, he sets the chart down and turns around and leans up against the counter.. Crosses his arms and crosses his legs and said "so, y'all go dancing at the same place huh?" NOT.. "So what are you here for today?" Lol. I turned all shades of red... He was not only an amazing physician, but a wonderful person that loved his family and employees. I am so very sorry for the family's loss, as well as patients all over the Houston area..
