You were my first celebrity like spark on UAB campus. The very first time I saw you was in Charlies Aunt and I was star struck! I would get so excited just to see you on campus and my friends would laugh at me and tell me just to talk to you and I'd be too nervous to say anything to you! Your energy and commitment to the role made me want to be in theatre even more. A year later we started having class together and I got to know you as a friend. Between class, catching lunch and hanging out off campus you kept me laughing. We even challenged each other with workouts. I always think about you from time to time but today you been on my mind heavy. I miss you friend :) I know you'd call me a punk for getting mushy but I think I get a pass now. I know your birthday is coming up and I still owe you that dinner, so this year I'll be sure to take you out.

Sending thoughts and prayers to Calvin's family. He was so talented in theater. My daughter had the opportunity to act with him, under Mr Gardner, at Vestavia High School. We always talked about how great he was and what a natural talent he had. May God be with your family during this difficult time

From Lee Yarbrough/on deployment
"Tell his family that I loved him and that he was a very important part of my life and that I always admired his natural talents in music, acting, sports, everything that he did. Tell them I learned so much from Calvin and that his spirit will live on in all the friends that he has made an impact on throughout the years."
God rest his soul.

A human being not only has a body, but has a "spirit" given to us by God. The spirit is the seed from which a higher form of life grows within man, higher than physical life, just as the body has developed from a small "seed" Therefore from the life of an individual in this world is evolved his "spiritual" life, nourished by family and love. With that, it prepares us for the natural threshold of the next stage of our existence.

My Sincerest Condolences to the Family. May God bless you, with the fondest memories of Calvin of his time in this existence.
