CALVIN CLIFFORD PEEK, 67 U.S. Steel FORT MEADE - Calvin Clifford Peek, age 67, of Fort Meade, FL, died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at his residence in Fort Meade from cancer. Mr. Peek and his wife, Linda moved to Fort Meade in 2004 from Jackson Township, IN. Mr. Peek was born Nov. 23, 1939 in Michigan City, Indiana. Mr. Peek worked for U.S. Steel for 31 years and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bartow. He also worked for the Valparaiso Community School in Indiana for 13 years and served on the town Board for 6 years in Burns Harbor, IN. He was a member of 4H horse & pony Club, and was very talented Wood Craftsman who loved to make furniture for his family. He loved watching his son, Dave, drag race, spending time with his granddaughter, Brianna. Fishing with his grandson, Korey and working on projects with his granddaughter & grandson Christy & Korey. He is also survived by his wife Linda Peek of Fort Meade, FL., daughter, Robin Seibel & husband, Bryan of Winter Haven; son, David Peek & wife, Sherri of Lakeland; sister, Phyllis Bakeis & husband, Bill of Zionsville, IN.; three grandchildren: Brianna & J.R. Brown of Deltona, FL., Christy Tesner of Lakeland, Korey Seibel of Winter Haven; three great-grandchildren: Christian, Joyce, & Katelyn Brown of Deltona, FL. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday 3/28/2007 at 1:00 pm at McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL.
