Calvin Lamar Thomas

Calvin Lamar Thomas 1943-2007 AGAWAM - Calvin Lamar Thomas, 64, of 67 Sanderson Street, Spring-field, MA de parted this life on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam, MA following a long battle with cancer. Calvin was born on September 23, 1943 in Helena Arkansas, the son of the late Clarence Thomas and Elizabeth (Dismuk) Thomas. He attended local schools in Springfield, MA and was a graduate of the former Trade High School. Calvin also attend Springfield Technical College and AIC. Calvin had been employed at the former Uni-Royal Tire Company and Springfield Civic Center. He enjoyed basketball, football and baseball. Besides his parents he is predeceased by one brother, Calvin Lamar Thomas and George Thomas; two sisters, Lillie Mae Brown and Debbie Thomas. He is survived by his sisters, Bernice Veasley, Irene Crane, Robbie Johnson, Beulah Davey, Bettie Blair all of Springfield, MA, Norma Gyebi of Northampton, MA, Mary Almeida of New York and Helen Smith of Hawaii; two brothers, Clarence Thomas and Robert Thomas of Springfield. Calvin will forever be lovingly remembered by a host of family and friends. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
