Cameron Mccomiskey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 4, 2024.
Danville, NH - Cameron M McComiskey, age 24, passed on Saturday March 30, 2024 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington MA, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on April 17, 1999 to Stephanie McKay(Blonda), Cameron was raised in Plaistow NH and a graduated from Timberlane Regional High School in 2017. Always with a strong work ethic, Cameron worked for Walgreens, beginning as a customer service rep in Hampstead NH and later was promoted to Store Manager in Salem NH. At the time of his death he was employed by Foresight Regulatory Strategies in North Andover MA as a Clinical Supply specialist.

A beautiful soul who tried to see the good in all, Cameron was always making people laugh. Whether it be an inappropriate joke, a witty comment or a funny noise, you couldn't help but smile in his presence. A passionate fan of all sports, he could often be found quoting stats or in a heated discussion about the most recent trade or draft. He enjoyed playing video games, Pokémon card collecting and most importantly, spending time with those he loved, especially his dog, Jeb. His laughter was infectious, his smile contagious, his heart generous. To know Cam was to love Cam and he was loved by so many.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his Stepfather, Raymond McKay of Interlachen FL, who raised him as his own; sister Kendall Santiago and partner Colin Schnaible of Derry; sister Addison McKay of Interlachen FL; fiancée Alyxis Carpenter of Danville NH and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents John Blonda and Claire Blonda(Picard).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kelly, Shawn & Lynn Madden and Jeff Beauregard of Atkinson NH for opening their home and hearts to Cameron during the final stages of his illness. We will forever be grateful.

Cameron loved life and would not want a sad goodbye. A celebration of his life is being planned for early summer.

Thank you for being a blessing in my life. You are a true angel to me and I am more grateful to you than words can express. Few people have the considerate, unselfish, loving heart that you possessed. I thank you for your kindness and for being the wonderful, amazing person you were. May the Lord, Jesus rest your soul in peace.

Cameron and I became friends my sophomore year of high school and we would talk often between classes. I would use my free period sometimes to visit him in one of Mr. Smith´s classes during my junior year. I told Cam how much I wanted a cat and he told me his family cat was pregnant with a litter and she would be due soon. I wanted it to be a black one and a boy but I knew it wasn´t likely I´d get what I wanted. After the kittens were born Cam told me there was a single black cat and that it was all mine if I wanted it. When we took the kitten to the vet we found out it was indeed a boy. Every time I look at Binx, I will be reminded of my very good friend. There is so much more I could say about Cam. He was a great person, and was there for me when I needed a good vent. Incredibly kind and supportive. I´m so grateful to have the memories and to have known such an amazing soul.

Cam was always a kind soul. He always knew how to make me laugh during hard times, encouraged me to do the right things and always asked me how I was doing. We spent a lot of time together as teenagers, I had the honor of calling him my best friend for 9 whole years. I´ll always remember when we met I was 15 years old and we immediately hit it off. We basically had the same personality and humor. I´ll forever miss him and cherish the memories we made together. I´m sending all my love to his family, fiancé, friends and everyone else who loved him dearly.

Cooking with Cameron. He was very humble, humorous, quite the character and had such extraordinary knowledge of music and media. Cam was always down to earth with his views and had a genuine grasp of friendship and respect towards others. He will be in our hearts forever and I hope others listen to his story.
