To the Parrish family:
Mrs. Parrish was my reading teacher my sophmore year in high school at Cooper High School. She had been the first black female teacher I had since the first grade back in North Carolina. Mrs. Parrish was also my favorite teacher. She was truly a no nonsense woman and I loved that about her. She not only helped me with my class work and my reading skills but she also helped me with my personal problems as well. Being a teen mom in high school was hard and there were times I wanted to quit but she wouldn't let me. Over the years I have thought so much about her and her daughter Camille, who would later become my caseworker. Mrs. Parrish will truly be missed. Not just by her family but also by those of us, her students, who she had a great impact on. My condolences to you all. God bless.

So sad to hear of her loss. My most favorite teacher. I went to school with her daughter who we called Deedee. She actually bought the outfit my oldest daughter came home from hospital I when she was born.

She was a fantastic teacher, classy, lovely lady, friend and great mentor who loved people. Her smile just warmed your heart. One of Abilene's Great!

Praying for all of you.

The greatest opportunity that ever came into my life, was the day I was in a program, Ms. Camille Parrish was chosen to become my mentor, I learned so much and wanted too better myself even harder, she was more than my mentor, I viewed her as my second mother, she will surely be missed , I'm very great full God sent Camille too me, my prayers and love, goes too the Parrish family. What a blessing to be given such an honor to have known such a beautiful woman. I learned many of things from Mrs. Parish; she was the icing on the cake! She was the epitome of grace, class and sophistication.
Family, may your heart and soul find comfort and peace.
