Canny Ong

ONG, CANNY July 18, 1974 to June 14, 2003 Beloved wife, daughter and sister Canny Ong was taken from her family and friends by a senseless act of violence. Although we have been robbed of her beautiful presence, those of us who knew and loved Canny will forever have our precious memories of her. Canny is survived by her husband, Brendan Ong of San Diego, her father, Ong Bee Jeng, mother, Pearley Viswanathan, two sisters, Ong Lee Shian and Elsie Ong, all of Malaysia. Canny was a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University and worked as a marketing analyst for a San Diego online marketing firm. We will celebrate her too-brief life by remembering a vibrant, intelligent young woman who brought joy into the lives of everyone she met at 4 p.m., on July 19, 2003 in Balboa Park.
