Carey A. Sontag age 64 of Glendale, Kentucky and formerly of Brown City died December 23,2021. He was born in Marlette to Melton and Virginia Sontag. Carey attended Brown City High Schools and joined the US Army and served for 17 years. Carey married his wife Anita Dodson. Carey worked and retired from Akebono Mfg. after over 20 years. He had also worked for Sears in Heating and Cooling. He loved hunting and fishing. Carey enjoyed wood working and making things for the family.
He is survived by his wife Anita Sontag, children Nicole (Joshua) Clements and Nathaniel Sontag and one grandson Izaak. Also surviving is a sister Mary Proctor and a brother Larry Sontag.
Carey was preceeded in death by 2 brothers Terry and Jerry and baby brother Perry Sontag.
Visitation will be at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 am and the funeral to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery.

Carey was the most loyal, honest, hard-working and kind friend I have ever had. He will be missed by everyone. Our prayers, blessings, and thoughts for Carey and his family.
