Carey McBride "Mac" Staples

I worked for the St. Mary Parish School Board and was privileged to have know
such a caring and professional man. We shared rides when attending Nicholls
night classes and enjoyed our many topics of conversation.
I will always remember when Carey took time from his busy schedule to
help me through my year as principal . His help was invaluable.
My prayers are for you and family a great lost.

You were my teacher, coach and friend! You didn't require respect from us kids lucky enough to be in your presence, but you received it by just being you. In short, you were a mentor trusting and helping us kids find our way!

I am so deeply sorry for your loss, Coach Staples was a truly special person to me and I will never forget the years I spent learning how to be a team player and a responsible young man. I am so thankful to have been on his Patterson High School Lumberjack football and basketball teams.

I am truly sorry gor the families loss!! Mr Staples was a wonderful man, father, husband and Principal!!! I can remember as a young girl seeing him walking down the hall at school and he could have this look on his face where we all got nervous and he would just look at us and grin. He was so special to do many people!!!! He will teuly be missed!!!
