Carines - Mae Itchon Klinefelter

Thank you Carines for being an inspiration to your peers growing up including my sister Desiree and I. I will always keep our Dance team picture from RJH as a reminder of what a true leader and servant of God embodies and the reason for all of us to keep pressing on in life; to continue with our mission and to touch as much people with just our love and smile like yours.

I have written and rewritten this message countless times trying to find the best words to say how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I had the honor of getting to know Carines in labor and delivery at Overlake. She was a true inspiration to nursing, giving everything that she had with that smile that would light the room. I loved hearing stories of her family, how she met Edward, and seeing the absolute joy in anticipation of becoming a mother to her dear James Carlos. James, she talked about you all the time with such love! Carines, you will forever be in my thoughts, God bless you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with your whole family. I remember Carines singing with me in the choir at Bangor when she was in high school. I am so sorry for your loss.

When she passed, our surroundings were frozen, blanketed in white like the pureness of her heart. For two weeks, the sky cried with us. But through God's glory, on this beautiful winter day, there was not a cloud in the sky as she was laid to rest.

This was one of the hardest goodbyes I've said in my life, but it has filled my heart to see how many people loved her. Over the past two days, I have heard so many stories of how she has touched every soul she encountered. For those that I did not hear, the packed church this morning was evidence of her impact. I am amazed by her legacy. Her service and burial was beautiful and perfect in every way, as she deserved. It has truly been a blessing to have had the chance to have her as a part of my life. Rest in peace Carines and watch over us from heaven. Thank you for all the memorable moments and I will miss you more and more everyday.

I'm having difficulty processing in my thoughts the reality of Carines being gone. The last time I worked with her at L&D before I left for vacation, I remember, she was so full of life-one can clearly see it in her eyes and in her smiles. I am among those whose lives she personally touched with her kindness and positive ways. I feel so blessed and inspired having known her at work. To her grieving family, relatives and friends,who love her so much, my sad heart cries with you. May we find comfort in the blessed HOPE that we'll be reunited with our lost loved ones when Jesus comes again, this time to take us home with Him for eternity.

I am so saddened to hear that our Cariness is gone! She was such a beautiful person who made those around her happy. Carines had a way of drawing people to her. She had a love of life, Nursing, and especially her family. I met Carines when I worked at Harrison Medical Center in Labor & Delivery. Even though I only knew her for a short time, it felt like much longer. When she moved on to Overlake and myself to another hospital, we became facebook friends. I frequently would click on her page just to see what she was up to and to see pictures of her new baby. So many loved her and looked up to her. My prayers go out to Edward, Baby James, and the rest of her family. May you find peace in this difficult time but know that Carines is in a far better place with God.

Carines was a student of mine at Seattle University College of Nursing. She was always generous, giving, positive, encouraging, a leader, and an eager learner so that she could "be the best nurse ever". She certainly accomplished that in a very short time with her giving spirit, positive loving heart, and eagerness to serve.

I am so very sorry for your great unbearable loss. There are no words to touch the raw ragged pain in your hearts. I am not sure what the right thing to say is... I have tried a couple times to find the words to express the impact you have had on my life. But there are no words to describe what an impact a friend makes on your life. Even though we had lost touch over the last couple years (other than on facebook). I still can look back fondly over our time together at RJH & CKHS (dances, prep assemblies, etc). I feel very blessed that I ran into you at target this fall and got to catch up on life, meet Edward, and see all your joy about being pregnant with baby James.
