May God be pleased with this beautiful soul as he enters eternity. May Carl's family experience the grace and comfort of God.
I met Carl in the early eighties and his soul was beautiful then.

I only got to meet him once at a Motown event in Detroit. He was in the audience and not a performer. I recognized him right away. I told him how much I loved his music and asked if I could take a selfie with him. He was super nice to me. I will treasure this moment and his music forever.
