Emma, Brian, Brenda, & Carl ...so sadden to hear of Carl's passing. I worked many years with him at the Puco. I lost touch with him a few years back. I still have the angel ornament that you made Emma. His children and grandsons were the love of his life. We loved of talking about being twins ..him/Clare & me and my sister Mary. He was a gentle person and him and coworker Bill Barrington were friends, father figure and coworkers during my years at the Commission .. I , my sister and daughter remembers those times fondly. The world has lost a good person ..I like to think that Carl has joined forces with Clare ..Bill and are keeping the Angel's on their toes. Luv to all.

I worked with Carl for several years at the PUCO before he retired. I remember him talking about his twins (he kept their photos in his office) and his grandson (the first). He was very proud of his family. He was one of the kindest, most decent person I have ever worked with and it was always a joy to see him when he came back to celebrate someones retirement. I really considered it an honor to have been a co worker. Please accept my sincere and heartfelt sympathy.

Emma, Brenda, Brian, and Carl

When I think of Carl I get a James Taylor vibe; humble, calm spirit, quiet strength, with a great sense of humor. Thinking of you. I still hear him laughing...

Dear Emma, Brenda, Brian, and Carl Jr.,

I am so sorry to hear the news of Carl's passing. Looking back, Carl was more of a father figure to me than anyone and I have nothing but fond memories of him and his strong influence in my life...even though he always called me "Turkey" :) I wish I could be there with you to enjoy some of the great memories everyone has to share. I am sorry but I haven't written a sympathy message before, so I don't know exactly what to say. I hope you understand that when I write, "Sorry for your loss", it is only because I can't put together words to describe what I'm wanting to express to you during this sad time. With that said, I am sorry for your loss. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Helen and Chuck (Pennington) Lawson

Carl, Clare, and I shared so much of our lives. We often hiked Two Mile Hill, the Reservoir Hill, and knew most of the grass blades in Mound Park from our variety of rough-house games there. All three of us ushered at the New Boston Ohio Theatre and met our brides in NB. Emma and Carl and Jeanie and I had many double dates before our marriages and they attended a UK Basketball game with us in Lexington years ago. Our son Jay was born in General Hospital on Dec. 16 and their son, Carl, Jr. was born after midnight on Dec 17, 1955. It is never easy to lose family or good friends. We are of an age to join them in the hereafter when God so chooses. Jesus loves Carl and Clare and even accepts me.
