Carl seemed to be a quiet person, but once you got to know him, he loved to talk. I will always remember his laugh and his kindness. He will be missed as everyone liked Carl.

Uncle Carl was a kind man with a warm heart. His uncomplicated outlook on life allowed him to find the best in nearly everything around him. It is hard for me to recall many circumstances where he did not have a smile on his face. I spent many summers as a teen working with Carl on the farm... learning the value and rewards of hard work. He kept me out of trouble and made me a better man. Although I am sad that he has passed, I am grateful for having known him. He definitely had a positive influence on my life.
