Carl Dougal Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 1, 2025.
Carl Eugene Dougal, 67, passed away on September 29, 2025, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Born on May 22, 1958, in Towanda, Pennsylvania, Carl lived a life defined by dedication to his work and the simple pleasures that brought him joy.

He began his career at Masonite, where he worked diligently for many years. Carl also served as a certified EMT with the Wysox Ambulance Association for 15 years, demonstrating a strong commitment to helping others. In 2014, he and wife, Terri, moved to Port St. Lucie with plans to enjoy retirement. However, his industrious spirit led him to join the Fort Pierce City Marina team, where he eventually became Operations Supervisor before retiring in January 2024.

Carl shared his life with his beloved wife, Terri Martinetti Dougal. He was a devoted father to Kristy Vanderpool (Nick), Samantha Dougal (Mike), Cornell Harris (Dante), and Chris Dougal (Jess), and stepfather to David (Kirsten) Wolfe and Ronnie Wolfe. He took great pride in his grandchildren: Taylor, Nicholas, Tacoma, Quinn, Corbyn, Emma, Josey, and Susannah. He also shared a close bond with his sister Nancy Dougal Dieckman.

Carl held dear the memory of his parents, Beatrice M. and Clifton E. Dougal; his sisters Sara Sue and Beverly Jean; his brother Clifton J.; and his granddaughter McKenzie June.

In his free time, Carl enjoyed fishing-whether from shore or boat-and had a passion for thrifting treasures for his Ebay business. He found companionship in his two toy poodles, Maggie and Mandy, and often relaxed with an ice-cold Budweiser in hand.

In keeping with Carl's wishes, no formal service will be held. A memorial gathering will be planned in the Towanda area at a later date. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
