Very sorry to hear about his passing. We will always be grateful for his commitment to our 123-year-old mission of serving God and the blind. Rest in peace, Carl.

DUring my association with the NFB, Carl was always one of the strong spokesmen and a good friend. I met him, appropriately enough, on a picket line, I regularly attended the NY State conventions, where Carl always put me to work, and he was a member of the Board of Directors for the Xavier Society for the Blind for several years. He and Mindy were a magnificent couple, and it was always a joy to be in their presence. He will be greatly missed.

Carl was my first NFB mentor and the reason I am still serving today. His legacy will live on through all the kids we helped together and in the dynamic New York State affiliate.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Mindy and the rest of his family. May we all be comforted in knowing that Carl lived the life he wanted and made many dreams come true for more people than we will ever know.
Rest in peace to a good man, a fantastic friend, and a staunch Federationist.

I will always hold the memory of Carl in my heart as someone who was committed to changing the way society views blind people. Because of Carl, I found mentorship, fellowship, and a community. Rest in peace, Carl. Mange takk. Much love to Mindy and the family.
