Carl F. Orton, 60, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on January 19, 2024. Born on August 6, 1963, in Merced, California, Carl was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

Carl was a man who truly embraced life and had a passion for helping others. Known for his incredible voice, he expressed his creativity through music. As the owner of his own studio, Cultivation Music, Carl wrote and sang his own compositions, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful melodies. Additionally, he had a talent for working with his hands and creating stunning wood pieces. His artistic creations were a testament to his dedication and skill.

In his spare time, Carl enjoyed playing various musical instruments, including the guitar and drums. His love for music was evident in every note he played. Carl's passion for music extended beyond his personal enjoyment; he found joy in sharing his talent with family and friends.

Carl will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Elaine Orton, his son, Carl Orton Jr., and his granddaughter, Kennedei. He is also survived by his mother, Valerie Orton, his sister, Carol Rice, and his brother, Jim Orton. Carl's father, Owen C. Orton, and his daughter, Anastasia Lynn, preceded him in death.

A celebration of Carl's life will be held at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church, located at 4615 S 3200 W. The service will take place from 1 to 4 PM, allowing family, friends, and loved ones to come together and remember the remarkable person Carl was.

Carl was a sweet man, he wanted to help our son, he wasn't able to yet, but his kindness and wanting to help meant so much. He will be deeply missed. To my best friend Valerie and her family, our deepest condolences. If you need us we are here for you. Craig and Belinda Hays

Carl was as nice as a neighbor could be, if asked to help with something he was more than willing to help.

Carl was the hardest working person I've ever known. His energy and strength were amazing! He helped my husband and I numerous times after we became neighbors in 2006. The love he and his wife shared was beautiful and tender to witness.
