Carl Lloyd Patrick

The legacy of Dr. Carl Patrick continues to shine in the productive lives of those students he unselfishly supported at Cumberland College. A product of Appalachia, Dr. Patrick understood the human condition and knew well how to rise above the challenges of life. He was a role model in so many areas. Rest well faithful servant. . . your work is done here. Our heartfelt condolence to the Patrick family.

Mr. Patrick was a true friend of the engineering technology faculty at Columbus Technical College and will be missed.

Carl Patrick was my hero and creator of all my ambitions. He hired me in 1948. I had a sixth grade education and the son of a share cropper. He believed in me. After 8 weeks training he sent me to Eufaula, Ala. to take over two existing theatres and to open a new theater. I stayed with him for 15 years. He was my ideal, a perfect example of what a great man should be. I ran my own business for 30 years by his example. In 1963 he sent me to Virginia to take over a Corp. Martin Theatres had purchased. What a great loss! My prayers are with the family and God's grace will surely shine upon you.

My husband, John, and I extend our deepest sympathy to Frances and to Carl Sr.'s entire family. The loss you experience must seem insurmountable. My father, Clyde Patrick, son of Charlie (brother to Deward), was always so proud of Carl and his accomplishments. My mother, Beulah, and my siblings and I always held Carl in great esteem.

To micheal and jayne,wynn I am sending you my deepest sympathy and to let you know god loves everybody and that your father had many people who loved him and I will keep on praying for his family

Dear Frances, Carl and Mike
I was saddened to learn of Pat's death. He was a mentor to me and I learned so much from him We shared many good times together. Pat had such a postive impact on so
many people and I, for one,can certainly say that we were blessed to have known and worked with him. Ann and my thoughts are with you now.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

My prayer are with the Patrick family. I worked for Carmike Theaters many many years ago, I have lots fond memories. I know Carl will be missed by many family members and friends.

Mrs. Patrick, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Patrick. I was blessed to know him during my years working at Fuqua Industries (1979-1984). He was always very kind to me and even hosted my friend and I to a lovely dinner at The Ritz in London, many years ago. He was a joy to know! May Our Lord bless you with comfort during this most difficult time.

Frances, You will not rmember me but my mother, Mary Speight, was a member of the Shaw Class. Once when I visited with her, you were greeting. You were so friendly and I think also left handed! So am I! I'll never forget this visit with you and Carl. I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Pat was an important factor in the success of Colorcraft Corp. and a mentor as well. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

I enjoyed working for Carmike Cinemas from 1992- 2000. Mr. Patrick always had a smile and spoke to all the employees. He will be truly missed

If ever there was a man who mirrored the life and ministry of Christ, it was Mr. Patrick. He was a great lesson and example in life to every young man who was ever blessed to be around him. What a Christian sermon he was and still is!
