I just heard about Carl and pretty sad
We grew up together then I had moved away But I do keep up with most news this one I had missed. When I would think of Carl it would bring a smile to my face God bless his family

I met Carl at the police academy in 1977.He was a giant of a man with an even bigger heart.It was always a comfort to know while working the dark streets of Homewood I could always depend on Carl for back up whenever I needed,I just recently learned of Carl's passing and it deeply saddens me .My love and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.Weeping endures for the night but your joy will come in the morning.

I met Carl years ago and we became good friends when I became a State Trooper and we played softball for a "police team" called the Enforcers. He was a great , soft spoken man with a great presence. To the "boys", I was not aware that Carl was your Dad until Alisha explained it to me after his death. You have my Sincere condolenses and prayers and you know if there is anything I can do for you I am here for you as you have been for me and my entire family. You are great young men like your Dad!!

My deepest sympathies to Carl's family. He and I were in the police academy together back in 1977 and were friends since. He was a good cop and a good person and I was very saddened to hear of his passing.

I will miss Carl's warm smile when he greeted us when entering the federal building in addition to personalizing it with our name. He was a special person to do that! I will keep you, your family and Carl in my prayers.

I was devastated when I heard of Carl's passing. He was one of the best security guards at the Federal Building. Everyday, rain or shine, Carl was full of smiles and kind words for everyone. If you took the time to really know him, he was a GREAT friend, and will be truly missed, but NEVER forgotten. My deepest sympathies to Carl's family.

I met Carl while working in the Federal Building. He always had a smile for all who entered the building. I will truly miss his smile and warm personality. I will pray that God will give you and your family peace in knowing that he is resting with the Lord.

I met Carl when I was assigned to Narcotics and Vice nearly 10 years ago. He had such a physical presence and if you were a "bad guy" you didn't mess with him, but was such a gentle person and soft spoken. I really liked Carl and it saddens me to learn of his passing. My condolences to the family of Carl B. Robinson Jr. Carl and I were partners in Narc and Vice before he retired from the police force. Carl was very influential in helping me to learn the skills I needed to be successful in that field. Carl was an excellent friend and very wise. I will miss Carl very much but the memories of the good times we shared together will remain in my heart forever. God bless you brother Carl for helping to make the Pittsburgh Police Department a positive place in my life.

I also met Carl in 1977 when we were recruits in the Police Academy. Carl was such a nice person and decent man. Carl was a good friend. May God Bless and Keep You All.

My deepest sympathies. I didnt know him very long but Carl always had a nice word and a pleasant attitude to all. we will miss him at the Federal Building everyday.

Carl you were the best guard. Always had some encouragement for us as we walked in to the building. You knew each and everyone of us by name. Although you have seen some sorrow in your life I know you must have known great joy to be the caring guy that you were. You will be greatly missed.

It saddens me to hear of Carl's passing. I worked on the remodel of the Fed Bldg the last 4 years and had the pleasure to speak with Carl often. While an imposing figure, Carl was one of the most pleasant and friendly people you would meet. He will be truly missed by all. My family and I extend our deepest sympathies to you.
