Sherry, it is February 28,2023 as I write and I have just read of Stassen´s passing. I hope you know I would have written sooner had I known. Stassen was my mentor, advisor, and I considered him a dear friend. I am so sorry that I did not stay in touch after our visit several years ago. I will be inTodd´s area next week and will try my best to see if I can find him.

I am saddened to hear about Dr. Stassen Thompson's passing. I fondly recall my conversations with him when he would occasionally stop by my office in Barre Hall to ask a question or to impart knowledge. I will miss him.

I was a high school classmate of Stassen and so sad to hear of his passing. Had it not been for him, I would never have passed Biology. He was a fun sweet guy. My sympathy to his family. He was a special guy.

I'm very sorry to hear of Dr. Thomson's passing. I took his class in the MS program in 81 to 83. Learned a lot from him. He showed me much grace and kindness during my time in graduate school.

Sherry, I am so sorry to hear of Stassen´s passing. He was always so good to me when I was a kid. I remember going with Curly, Laverne and Gary to your graduation from nursing school and Stassen telling me that could be me someday - graduating from college! That experience and those words made a difference in my life and for that, I am forever grateful! Praying for you all during this difficult time!

We were saddened to learn of Dr. Thompson's passing. He was always so vital and cheerful. I worked with him in Ag Econ at Clemson for many years and continued to see him when he worked in land management (his office was down the hall). My husband had him in class in the M.S. program. Please know we are praying for the family.
