Ms. Carla was a beautiful woman she spread her love amoung so many. She was very dear to my family- helping u through hardtimes and allowing my children to be apart of her daycare. My heart hurts when I think of how tired he was but she alway pressed on to make sure all the kids she kept under her wing were safe and had fun!! She will be truly missed by many

To the family of Ms. Carla, we send to you our condolences. Ms. Carla was one of the nicest ladies we ever met and we are truly heartbroken she is no longer here with us. I started out working for her doing odd jobs, but she quickly became, what I considered, a family member. She will truly be missed.

my prayers go out to Ms. Carla's family, especially my god brother Rolland. I'm blessed to have had her in my life as a mentor & a godmother. & I'm also blessed & grateful to have seen her before she passed away. In September she drove up to Erie, PA to come visit my family & me. Ms. Carla was a huge influence on the southside of Pgh growing up, she would give a stranger the shirt off her back & food off her plate if they needed it. I'm sadden that she has passed but I'm happy she's in a better place. I love you Ms. Carla & you'll never be forgotten. Thank you for helping families in the Knoxville / Beltzhoover / Mt. Oliver / Mt. Washington communities. ??????

I was a friend of Carla's from her years at Dickinson College. We have remained fast friends ever since and got together any time I got to Pittsburgh. I am so saddened at her passing, but know that my thoughts are with her family friends.

Dear Roland and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Carla was a beautiful, kind, caring person, inside and out. Brett went to Mama Colleen's and Carla's Daycare when he was 5 months old, and Gracie Swallow took care of him, along with Colleen and Carla. He had many good times there, the Christmas parties with Santa Claus, the Reader who came and read books to the children, and the trips to the movies and Library.
Brett loved Carla's spaghetti sauce and he has since doe his best to duplicate it. The garden they planted in the back of the house and all those fresh vegetable. The memories include Aunt Henrietta and Aunt Lorretta. Love with all our hearts, Al, Marie and Brett Weber

I am very saddened to learn of Carla passing. I have known her my entire life. I used to live a few doors up from her on jucunda. I remember always helping her and Mrs Colleen with their groceries and helping her with summer programs down at the school and over at church. I have alot of memories that I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my life. The entire family are in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

There are so many memories this book isn't large enough to hold all of them...but the only one I will always cherish is this last one of you walking out of my door the Saturday night of this fateful event that has lead me to writing in this book! Carla your words of us having fun and eating goodies will ring in my ears. It is hard not having you to talk to like we always would do...I do know that now you will be the one watching out for me! You are in heaven with your mom and dad. As well as with my mother, father, and all of your aunts and uncles that have made it to glory. Your light will always shine in my heart and mind. You fought the good fight and Jesus needed you to be home with him more than being here with us. I love you and I know you are at rest and peace!Carla you are missed beyond words. You can now fly with the angels and enjoy your new life! I will love you forever!
Your big cousin....Sharon

May the God of all tender mercies who sees your tears give the needed comfort to just go from one day to next. For God is a stronghold in times of distress.
