Carlos Duane Bagley

Services for Carlos Duane Bagley, 65, will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2009 in the Primrose Funeral Service chapel.Duane was born December 2, 1943 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Erwin and Louise Bagley. He passed away at his home February 25, 2009 after a battle of liver cancer.Duane joined the military after attending East Central University in Ada. In 1965, Duane married Gloria Pate in San Jose, California, while he was stationed in the military at Alameda, California. He served in the Vietnam War for 4 1/2 years. After leaving the military, he joined the Oakland Police Department in Oakland, California where he worked for five years before being injured in the line of duty.After retirement, he joined the car business, where he worked for a number of dealerships for over 20 years. After leaving the automotive industry, Duane worked for several golf courses before going to work at Bed, Bath and Beyond, a job he loved dearly and coworkers he loved dearly as well.His hobbies were sports of all kinds. He loved the OU Sooners and golfing, hunting, and fishing with his friends.He is survived by his wife Gloria of the home; children Phil Bagley and wife Michelle, Krista Bagley, all of Norman and Mark Bagley of Moore; grandchildren Preston Winn, Ethan Swinney, Julia Bagley and Evan Bagley; his father Gene Womack and brother Paul Womack.He was preceded in death by both parents.Arrangements are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.Submitted by family
