Carlos Eduardo Mejia, 61 of Woodstock IL. Lost his battle with cancer on March 27, 2025.

Carlos was born December 30, 1963 in El Salvador.

Carlos loved to make others laugh and will be missed greatly by all who met him.

He is survived by his loving fiance, Karen Hoffman; his mother Maria (the late Miguel) Verastique; two brothers, Michael Verastique, Tony Verastique; a sister Melinda Verastique-Garcia; a nephew; also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave, Woodstock IL on April 25, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.

While we didn´t know each other long I loved you. You were always there when I needed help. You always stepped up not only for me but my mom as much as you could. Even without me knowing you were unwell. You loved me and knew me better than some others. I wish I truly could´ve gotten to know you better Carlos

Carlos will be greatly missed by his coworkers. He was so kind and always had a positive attitude even though we all new he was going through some tough times.

Carlos was always so nice to me! I was to hear of his passing! He was Happy when he was working with us! He use to make me laugh about silly things at work! He was a good man and will be missed!
