Carlton H. Hamblin Sr.

PLYMOUTH Carlton H. Hamblin Sr. Gramps, of Plymouth, passed away at home on Oct. 7, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife Doris (Curtin) of Plymouth and his children Donna Knowles of Alberta, Canada, Etta Hinckley of Plymouth, Carlton Jr. Sonny of Plymouth, Priscilla Waterman of Plymouth, Daniel Hamblin of New York, Barbara Snider of Plymouth, John Hamblin and his wife Susan of Plymouth, Judith Hamblin of Plymouth, and Mark Hamblin and his wife Angela of Florida. He also leaves his brother Ernest Hamblin of Plymouth, 26 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and his son-in-law Kenneth Carpenter. Father of the late Betty Carpenter, brother of the late Russell and Charles Hamblin and Dorothy McGee and father-in-law of the late John Waterman, Sharon Hamblin, Donna Hamblin and Rusty Snider. Carlton was born in Barnstable where he attended Barnstable schools and served in the Army National Guard. He was a commercial fisherman and had worked at the Bayside Marine. He was a member of the American Legion Post 143, in Pembroke. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St. (Rte. 3A), N.
