To the Fato family my heart goes out to you as your loss is felt not only by your family; but anyone who was lucky enough to have been touched by the most gentle and caring of men. I feel privileged to have had the pleasure of working with Carmen at Sol Mintz and having enjoyed his friendship with my family.

Howard joins me in expressing our sincere sympathy, God Bless You All

Just remember you had the the greatest gift of husband, father and greandfather.

Sincerely, Cindy

To the entire family:

We are saddened by your loss. We were all fond of Mr. Fato and enjoyed hearing him tell about his grandchildren. His face just lit up with pleasure when he talked about them. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My family and I are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Carmelo Fato. His daughter Luciano ("Lucy")is a dear friend of mine and godmother to my daughter Caitlin. Lucy and I both attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (class of 1990)and later lived together in New York City as we began our legal careers. It was during our time together in Pittsburgh that I was privileged to become acqainted with her father, Carmelo, and the wonderful Fato family. Special memories include visits to the Fato home where we sleep-deprived law students would be greeted with open arms, delicious homemade italian food, good wine and most important of all lots of laughter and the great company of Carmelo and the Fato family. I was always struck by the special sense of family that the Fatos share and I feel very fortunate for the time I was able to spend with Carmelo over the years. My family and I send our deepest sympathies to the Fato family for this tremendous loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We love you Lucy.

Lucy, Annamaria, Micki and Mrs. Fato - George and I were so sorry to hear Mr. Fato's death. Although you will miss him as a father, husband and grandfather in this life, we believe his spirit has flown to a better place where he will always still be with you, and where you will all find each other again later. You have our prayers and positive thoughts, and any help and support we can give.
