Carmen Cortijo

A mother´s love is never forgotten and she will know this when we see her again in paradise! That is what Jehovah promises.

I met Carmen when I was just a teenager and immediately she embrome like one of her sons. I regret losing touch over these many years. I just happened to be in NYC and was thinking about her and tried to look her and Becky up to see where they were living and came across this. I look forward to see her again in the New World. I will promise to be more diligent about keeping in contact with my adopted mom.

We are sorry for your loss and look forward to seeing her in the new world with open arms. Can´t wait to try her cooking! Many hugs, Phil and Rocky

We lived in the same building for decades and knowing Carmen and Becky were one flight down was very comforting to me. When they moved to the Bronx I was sad but we had an even greater connection than our residence. We served our wonderful Heavenly Father and we have a beautiful hope for the future. While she naps we must do our best to be able to welcome her. She truly was a loving sister. I remember her pastelillos. Becky you were the best daughter she could ever have. Always by her side with tender love and care. I know you and your family will miss her. But it´ll be "just a little while longer." Hugs!

We knew Titi Carmen as our friend Gloria´s beloved sister. The stories, Gloria aka Gladys, told me about their childhood in Puerto Rico were hilarious, poignant and heartfelt. Love was always behind the stories. Sisters through thick and thin! Every time we saw Titi Carmen, usually at a party thrown by Zaida and Chendo Velez, we were welcomed with her beautiful smile and sincere hugs! God is good and Carmen Cortijo is one of His favorites, as she is one of our´s! Bless her memory! Our heartfelt condolences go out to her beautiful children, especially Becky and beautiful grandchildren, especially Adrienne!

It was my honor to have known Sister Carmen Cortijo and hope she will meet and teach my mother in Paradise!
