To the DelGrosso Family, Sadly I found out today of Col "Sean" DelGrosso's passing. A day late to attend the Service. I was a brand new 2nd Lt, assigned to 2nd SCAMP in 1984. Col DelGrosso was the G2 for 2ndMARDIV. I'll write a letter but he was the first Colonel that ever really talked with me, asking about my interests, etc. I later was transferred to 2nd Recon Bn, where he had also served, and while I was there he got me a seat at Intelligence School at NMITC. I couldn't have asked for a finer mentor.
Semper Fidelis Sir!

Helen:
I am not sure why I did not hear of Carmine's passing.
Even though has been some time now, I want to offer my deepest sympathy to you.
Carmine and I attended the same HS and college. During those times he earned a great deal of respect from me. For one thing, I went to track meets to watch him and Matty Diomedes run.
I have many fond memories of Carmine:
1. sitting outside of Fordham's student union, harmonizing to some folk tune
2. leaving a Fordham graduation party in Staten Island. I was unsure of directions home. Carmine said: "Mac, this is Wild Ave. (it was!) It goes".
3. Running into Bobby Giordano on Bwy /39th St NYC. Bobby says: "Did you see Carmine on TV last night?"
4. The excitement I felt when he showed up at our 50th reunion.
In hope you are well, Helen, and surrounded by others who love you. Know that I will never forget Carmine.

We were enriched by Sean's presence and are diminished with his move to what is surely his next great adventure.
