I think of Carol all the time. I still carry one of her ice breaker books in my bag and use at least one of them every year with our team of school psychologists. She was a tremendous influence on every thing I do. She is missed greatly.

I'm not sure what made me think of Carol this morning but for some reason I decided to try to look her up and try to make a contact. Finding that she is gone is so sad. Carol was a dear dear friend. We worked together at Moody School and Pediatric Rehab Center and shared an office. We spent a lot of time together before the birth of Colleen and when Colleen was an infant and young girl. She would often bring her daughter to my house on the west end of Galveston and spend the day at the beach. Carol later moved to the Houston area and I moved to Hawaii and then Nevada. I did return to Galveston a few times over the years and made a point of spending some time with Carol but it has been a long time now. I doubt that Colleen has any memory of me but know that I loved your mother as a friend. She was a wonderful person and highly regarded professional. I regret that I failed to keep in touch more recently.

Not a day goes by when we don't have a conversation that includes something Carol taught us, said to us, or just inspired us. As I am taking on more supervision, I think about everything Carol taught me. Her standards were high, and she never lowered them. She did, however, raise her support when we needed it the most. I work hard to make sure her work is shared with everyone I support and live up to her standards. She was not just a mentor, she was a friend- a kind, sweet friend. She will forever be remembered and missed. I am blessed to have known her, learned from her, and worked with her.

Carol's support was invaluable to me as as trainer of trainer within a school district. She had the ability to hear our leadership concern and provide training and instruction in response that exceeded my expectations. Carol was my profession elder, teacher and friend. Our last conversation was about why she continued to show up in places that exposed her to personal health risk, crowds in public schools. She smiled an affirming look of a kindred spirit dedicated to serving other. Well done to a soul i am grateful to have known.

My sincere condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of working with Carol in Texas City. It was obvious how much she cared about each and every student with whom she worked. She was so very kind and always willing to share her incredible wealth of knowledge with me. Carol will be greatly missed.

Carol was an extraordinary person. She was a friend, mentor, and colleague. Her expectations were high, but always obtainable- she made sure you were always growing personally and professionally. She was extremely generous with her time and her knowledge. She will be missed by so many.

Carol it has been an honor to have you in my life. As a new educational diagnostician your presence and status was some what intimidating to me. We were going to an important meeting and I was nervous. We picked you up at the high school to ride with us downtown. In light of the seriousness of the meeting you joined us in the car with curlers in your hair and kept the conversation light- hearted. I knew at that moment everything was going to be okay. Thank you for the wonderful memories. Rest in peace.
