I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss and it is hard to believe that one year has passed. Even though we never had an opportunity to know one another it is always inspiring to hear of people who live life to the fullest and make things happen, the world can never have enough of them. My first memory of carol was when she lived in Beecher Falls, VT in the 1960's and she taught me a little tune on the piano she titled "Butterfly".She's a beautiful lady.

Dearest Sister, God speed on your new journey. I know that you are in one of God's preferred mansions, where no earthly tribulations can touch you. We are doing our best here to fill the void you've left with your children. Please know that they will be loved and cared for and our siblings and I will do whatever we can to lighten their loss and sorrow. I miss the thought that we will never get to take that trip to India we sometimes talked about to visit sacred sites. Hopefully in our next lifetime we will meet again in that sacred land. Carol has a beautiful soul and I am grateful for the time that we shared together. She will always have a place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Thank you everyone for sharing your memories of my sister Carol. It has been a very difficult time for our family and hearing how she touched so many people is deeply comforting.

Carol was a friend and classmate. I am thankful that we were able to see each other in 2004 (class reunion). In looking back through my yearbooks, Carol always wrote something to the effect of never giving up on my music. Carol definitely followed her own advise and lived her dream of dancing to the fullest. She was an incredibly talented and loving individual.

I will always remember Carol as the kind gentle soul with the cute giggle and quiet calming demeanor. My sincerest sympathies to the Butler and Jalbert families.

I teach yoga to Yvette at the Converse Home in Burlington. When I asked her yesterday why she seemed tired, she said she was sad and proceeded to tell me this very tragic tale. We sat and she cried and I tried my best to console her, though my words felt so hollow considering the depths of her loss. She seemed to find peace in knowing her daughter is now with her dad. Please accept my sympathies for this hugely heart breaking loss for you all.

When hearing of your loss, I cannot express enough, the feelings we extend to you and yours, from so many that knew Carol at various stages of her life. Carol possessed a spirit like no other. My heart has been filled with sadness at the news of Carol's untimely passing. Carol taught me the values of good parenting, respect, forgiveness, and love for all humankind. I feel so fortunate to have walked the Treman trail in Ithaca with Carol last month when I made a visit to Ithaca. I so enjoyed talking with her, and was struck by her spiritual maturity and kindness. I first got to know Carol about 25 years ago when she was a teacher in the Young Women program of the Mormon church in Ithaca. She was a wonderful example to us girls then, always has been since and will continue to be for me as I reflect on her memory. Joseph, John and all of Carol's family and friends, you are in my prayers.

Carol was deeply loved by all of us at Eastlake Recreation Club. We were all terribly saddened and shocked by her death. We are especially sorry for her family and hope they can find some strength with each other. Please know that we are here if needed.

Carol was a charming friend, a sweet package of goodness. She was bright and caring, overflowing with more talent than she was aware of. I will miss her and her lovely laugh, for years to come. My heart goes out to all of her family.
