Michael, Joshua, Jason & Justin - I am so sorry to hear about the passing of both of your parents. They both were truly great caring people. I was a caregiver to your late grandmother Harriet Cohen. I remember meeting all of you.

My prayers are with you all as you go through this difficult time in your life.

Carol and her dogs always brighten the days that the children had spent in there rooms especially when they were missing their on dogs. May your family know that you were very special to the sick children I still have a picture of my late daughter with Arlo here. May your family find comfort in the memories that you provide them.

When we moved to Pittsburgh for a temporary two years, Carol and Jeffrey answered the call of Schenley to welcome our two sons as the new kids. Their kindness was greatly appreciated, as were the friendliness of Mike and Jason, and it made the transition here so much easier for all of us.

My husband, David Gottlieb, mentioned that Vivien Kalson Gottlieb was an acquaintance of hers. Vivien passed back on Dec. 7, 2015. May the memory of Carol Chisholm Cohen be a blessing.

Carol and I met and became friends at our Saturday morning painting classes. I looked forward to seeing her every week and I adored listening to the fabulous stories of her life. She was an inspiration with her bold use of color in her paintings. I will deeply miss her and this world will never be as colorful.

So sad to hear about Carol's death. My thoughts are with you Colleen, Michael, Jason, Josh, Justin & the entire Cohen & Chisolm families. The picture looks like Carol when I first met her in 1984 - full of life!

Wish I would have known all these things sooner, I would have joined her. One rebel to another.
To her sons who I know are lost at this moment. She must have loved your father immensely to go so soon, I hope you find comfort in knowing they are together.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thinking of the Chisholm and Cohen Families and praying for your continued strength through the loss of Carol and her husband. Growing up in Garfield you had to be creative and tough and Carol was able to rise above and enjoy life.

Ever read about someone and feel that you missed out in a big way by not knowing them? This is exactly how I felt reading about Carol's life! Boy, she reminds me a lot of my own mother (also Carol and a redhead!! Fiery!). She lived her life to the fullest for sure. We should all take a page from her book and maybe the world would be a better, more colorful and fun place.
To her family, know that she is with her beloved Jeffrey and watching over you all. May she rest in peace and may you keep your memories of her close to your heart!

For 31years I have never meet Mrs.Cohen face to face, and yet I feel I have come to know her and miss her-all because of Dr.Jeff and thank you notes.Every Christmas I would send chocolate covered pretzels and she began addressing me as Jeff 's"pretzel patient".Until the year she sent me a family Christmas letter that literally made me laugh and cry. So I in turn sent her my 1st and only fan letter, since then her thank you cards always began-To my biggest fan.I'll miss that ray of sunshine in my life because that is what I think Carol has been to so many.So now that Sunbeam is again with God's Angel and they are watching over us all. Thank God! Love,Kathy Sambolt
