Corcoran Carol "Jean" (nee Eschner) Corcoran, age 87, of Powell, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 after a brief illness. Jean is preceded in death by her husband James Ivan Corcoran, her son Patrick "Sam" Corcoran, her grandson Ben Corcoran, her parents Ben and Anna Eschner, her sister Ora Bell Baldwin, and her brother Harlan Eschner. She is survived by her daughters, Chris Corcoran of Columbus, OH, Cindy Corcoran of New York City, Cathy Corcoran of Columbus; her beloved grandson, Jack Corcoran; dear sister, Bernadine (Ken) Kappes of Sun Lakes, AZ; and her brother, Marvin Eschner of Gillett, WI. Jean had many dear friends since moving to Columbus in 2000 and many treasured friends and neighbors from Westlake, OH where she previously resided for 34 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. SATURDAY, MARCH 16, 2013 at ST. JOAN OF ARC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, OH 43065. Interment will take place in April at St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon Lake, OH joining her beloved husband. Arrangements by Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 W. I GREW UP WITH SHERRY CORCORAN AND NEW THE FAMILY THREW HER. I LIVED ON MYRTLE TOO. SO SORRY FOR YOU LOSE. I KNOW HOW IT FEEL I LOSE MY PARENTS WHEN THEY WERE IN THERE 50'S AND MID 60'S.
