Carol F. (Campbell) DeWever, age 83, of Quincy, died peacefully, Thursday, March 6, 2025 at home, surrounded by the love of her family, after a lengthy illness.

Carol was born on July 28, 1941 to John and Winifred Campbell in Boston. Carol attended Boston schools, and after graduating from high school attended Boston State College for teaching, where she earned her degree.

After a brief career in teaching, Carol met her husband, Peter, and they married in 1962. Carol became a stay-at-home mom to their four wonderful children, Karen, Steven, James, and Diane, whom they loved and cherished. Carol loved to knit in her earlier years, and often made handmade sweaters for her kids and grandkids. Carol spent the later years of her life spending time with her grandchildren where they would spend summers, holidays, and school vacations playing board games, watching movies, and going for many walks to the parks.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, John and Winifred Campbell; her husband of 54 years, Peter DeWever; her sister, Barbara; and two of her children, James DeWever and Karen (DeWever) Vallone.

Carol is survived by her loving children, son Steven DeWever (Lynn) of Maine, and daughter Diane O'Brien (Dana) of Brockton.

Carol had an unbreakable bond with her surviving sister, Sr. Patricia Campbell of Halifax, NS, Canada.

Carol was the cherished grandmother to Stephanie DeWever, Trevor Vallone (Donna), Crystal DePinho (Artie), Devan DeWever, Angela Vallone, and Riley O'Brien.

Carol was the beloved great grandmother of Vanessa, Akira, Bella, Artie, Ben, Damian, Samara, Ryder, Lilli, and Leanne.
