Carol Galus Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 28, 2025.
Carol Ann Galus, born December 5, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, in South Elgin, Illinois.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Al; her son Peter Argianas and his wife Erin; her daughter Andrea Allen and her husband Robert; her cherished grandchildren Peter Argianas, Kaitlin (Marcus) Allen-Childers, Nicholas Argianas, and Gabriela Argianas; and her great-grandson Luca Atlas Argianas.

Carol spent her early years in Chicago and Brookfield before moving to Marco Island, Florida, where she built a rewarding career as a massage therapist. After retiring, she settled in Esmond, Illinois, to be closer to her family. A master gardener with a passion for nurturing beauty in the world around her, Carol also found joy in dancing at Jazzercise classes and sharing meaningful conversations over coffee at Starbucks.

Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. Carol's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. If heaven had a walk-up song, it would undoubtedly feature on her favorite tunes, "Bat Out of Hell" by Meat Loaf-an anthem reflecting a life lived vibrantly and without regret. Now free from pain and anxiety, she dances eternally in the light alongside her beloved dog Happy and those who passed before her.

No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to Barb City Manor, 680 Haish Boulevard, DeKalb, IL 60115, an organization that provided invaluable support to Carol and Al.
