Carol Ann Hadley

Carol Ann Hadley, 79, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2023. Born on August 24, 1943, in Freehold, New Jersey, Carol was the daughter of Howard and Sarah Thompson and long time resident of Lakewood, New Jersey.

Carol was a loving, quirky, and a bit of an eccentric individual. She had a passion for life and brought joy to those around her. Earlier in life, Carol enjoyed playing the piano, guitar, and singing. She also had a talent for baking and cherished family gatherings around the holidays.

Carol dedicated her career to helping others as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at Kimball Medical Center and later at Southern Ocean County Hospital. Her commitment to providing compassionate care made a lasting impact on the lives of her patients and colleagues.

Carol is survived by her sons Scott (Dolores) Hadley, David (Josette Aramini) Hadley, Randy (Pam) Hadley, and Michael (Theresa) Hadley. She was a loving grandmother to Brittany (Dan) Storm, Matthew (Alyssa) Hadley, Connor Hadley, Shane Hadley, Daniel Hadley, Joia Hadley, Myles Hadley, Jocelyn Hadley, and Gemma Hadley. She also adored her great-grandchildren Mason, Ava, and Aiden.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband Roy "Jiggs" Hadley, her sister Sheila Pickell, her son Daniel Hadley, her daughter Christine Hadley, and her parents Howard and Sarah Thompson.

Carol's educational journey included attending Freehold High School, as well as Ocean County College and Georgian Court University.

She found solace and spiritual fulfillment at St. Rose of Lima and St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Churches.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate Carol's life will be held at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, November 11th, at 8:30 am.

Carol will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and compassion. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
