Carol A. Harkleroad

Carol Ann Harkleroad, 62, of Cowanshannock Township, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 19, 1947, in Paterson, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Arlene (Witty) Harkleroad. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Yatesboro, and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a homemaker, and a graduate of Elderton High School's Class of 1965. Survivors include a daughter, Amy Geibel and her husband, Brad, of Sarver; a granddaughter, Brooklyn Rose Geibel, of Sarver; a sister, Arlene Smith, of Rural Valley; a brother, Paul Harkleroad, of Rural Valley; two nephews, Jarrod B. Smith and Jason Harkleroad; and a niece, Nicole Reppard. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the CARSON/BOYER FUNERAL HOME INC., 724 Main St., Rural Valley. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with Father Daniel L. Blout as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Yatesboro.
