Carol Hopkins Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 6, 2025.
Carol Hopkins, aged 80, passed away on November 4, 2025, in Norman, Oklahoma. Born on October 15, 1945, Carol dedicated much of her life to education, mainly as a teacher at Wesley Prep School in Dallas for over 30 years. Her early years in elementary education eventually led her to find her true passion in teaching preschoolers, a role she embraced with enthusiasm and skill.

Carol's life was marked by her deep faith and active involvement in her church communities. She was a cherished member of Wildwood Community Church in Norman, where she contributed to various ministries, including Women's Bible studies and a Widow's group. Her spiritual journey also included significant periods at Grace Bible Church and Northwest Bible Church, where she and her late husband, John, were active participants.

Beyond her professional and spiritual commitments, Carol was profoundly family-oriented. She found joy in spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was carpooling them, attending their sports events, or baking together. These moments were among her most cherished.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Sarah Lowe and son-in-law Parker Lowe. Her son Tim and his wife Kristina. And her grandchildren Abigail, Bethany, Isaac, Hannah, Katyln, Ryan, Emily, and Jonathan, and her sister Ginger Garrison, and her husband Gary, and nieces Michelle and Melanie Garrison, and numerous cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband John Hopkins, her parents Bob and Marian Blon, and her infant son Jason Hopkins.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Bible Church, 11306 Inwood Rd, Dallas, TX 75229, celebrating her life, her faith, and the impact of kindness she had on so many.
