To the family of Carol (Weech) James:

Like so many other letters of condolences, I too am sadden to learn of the passing of Carol. Carol and I graduated from high school together as well as growing up on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona.

I was also disheartened to learn that at one point in time we were so geographically so near to one another: while she was living at Fort Lewis, I was living in Olympia, Washington, only twenty plus miles away.

May the many happy memories that you had with Carol help you through the sad period of this time.

Carol James was one of those people that quietly left a deep impression in your heart. She never made a big deal out of herself, but she was always there, gently setting an example with a supportive gesture, a kind word and a constant smile. Our Grand Forks Ward won't be the same without her, but there isn't a soul there that wasn't left better off because of her. I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope you will find comfort in your faith. I have no doubt that she has joyfully reunited with her Maker. With Love and Prayers,

So sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I grew up with her on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation and knew her family well. I often wondered where she went after she left San Carlos. My condolences to her children.

I am sorry to hear of Carol's passing. She was a good friend and a person that I looked up to. I enjoyed working with her both in Relief Society and Primary. I admired her many talents and the wonderful traits that she had. She was a caring, patient, compassionate person with a strong testimony of the gospel. I know she will be greatly missed.

My sympathy to all of Carol's family. Carol and I were friends through high school and many years after as Eddie lived with my family for many years before he and Carol were married. I loved them both. EmmyLu (Mendenhall) Pearson

We were stunned & so saddened to hear the news of Carol's passing. She was everything that I value. A good, calm, peaceful, kind, cheerful, patient, quiet, virtuous woman. Always had encouraging words. Never spoke unkindly or gossiped. My kids remembered her cookies for years. It is sad to lose the presence of her strength, but I know how much she loved and treasured her family. She was proud of each one and of the grandchildren. Her eyes lit up when speaking of any of them. She was a rock I could count on and look up to. I am so sad for your loss and hope you can find comfort at this time in your memories and knowledge of her love and goodness and hopes and faith. She is everything she should be.

Carol was such a sweet lady. I had the priviledge of doing her hair. Carol and I also went to the same church. She always had a smile on her face. Carol loved her family, her friends, her job and her sports. :) She was always serving others. "Some people come into our lives and quietly stay. Others stay for a while, leaving footprints in our hearts and we are never the same." Carol left "footprints" on many hearts.
