Carol Jean Cope Klein

Dear Klein Family,

I am so very sorry to hear about Carol. My family is the "other" Klein family. Our children went to school together. I remember when I went to the hospital to have my daughter Katie (August 1990), the nurse brought me Carol's chart. She was pre-registered for Kyle. Carol and I often shared our stories about substitute teaching.

Dear Kent and Family,
It's tough to let someone so special go ! I heard of Carols passing "Beyond the Ridge" at the same time an amazing Sun Dog appeared at the foot of Timpanogos, just over Soldier Hollow. Thoughts of Carol, her grace and love of you and your sweet family flooded my mind. The Sun Dog grew taller and brighter with each passing moment, then eventually transformed from a beautiful bright "up and down" rainbow to curl into a circle and eventually faded from sight.
Carol's Sweet Spirt was so strong, I had a feeling that this was her message and that she helped make the Sun Dog brighter, more beautiful, and happier for everyone...as was her nature.
The camps, the laughs, the knowledge and skills shared will forever be treasured and remain in our hearts.
Many thanks again for your work and time in the Mountain Man Camp during 2002 SLC Winter Olympics for me. Your family always looked like you "Stepped off the pages of a history book". Between the fine sewing skills of "Goode Wife Carol" and "Horacio Applebottom, Peddler's skills, you have helped many understand and appreciate our ancestors even more.
We are so grateful for our last visit with you both....another treasure, to be able to share hugs, tears and memories.
You are both amazingly strong and an example to multitudes who have had the opportunity to "rub shoulders with you".

Many of us at Jordan Valley Water were surprised and saddened to hear of Carol's passing. It's been a long time since you retired but we enjoyed seeing your family at the summer parties. You and Carol were a wonderful couple and will be again in the life to come.

We send our heartfelt love and friendship to you at this time of sorrow. We have had weeks of respiratory illness with kids, grandkids and us over Christmas and have not dared to come visit, but you have been in our thoughts and prayers. What fun memories of trading and cooking at the Rendezvous while our kids played in the creek in their ribbon dresses that Carol taught me how to make. What a noisy fun sight we made. You two were the ultimate Mountain Man Team...we had great fun snd learned so much from you. An entire book would be needed to get all the details of those good old times. You know Carol and I could talk most of the night at the campfire and we did so many times. You know we are here for you if you need us. Thanks so much for your friendship over the years..it is a treasure.

I am so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I knew her time was probably short; I'm sorry I was not able to come see her. Even though I knew her for such a short time, I could see that she was a very special lady. My condolences to your family.
