Learning this weekend that my childhood friend is not just a phone call away anymore leaves such a hole in my heart. Carol and I met in first grade and were the best of friends all the way to graduation. We shared things as sisters do. She was my bestfriend. I have such great memories of those years that I will cherish forever. Days, months or years never made a difference when I heard her voice again. She stayed the same wonderful person I knew and loved as a child. Heartfelt sympathies to Bob, May, George and Bonnie.
May God give us the strength to carryon without our dear Carol.
Love, Barbara Purcell Barbara Reyna

I worked with Carol in the 1970-s and 80's in Kingston Hospital on 2 Broadway. I will always remember her smile and her dedication to her patients. Whenever Carol and I were on the same "team" on our Unit...I knew that it would be a good day. Carol cared deeply for those in her care. I have not seen Carol in many years as I left Kingston in the early 90's. However; I always think of all those that I worked with for so many years. I will always remember Carol's smile and laughter. I remember her always talking about her Mom and her brother and how she loved them...and how her brother would give her advice. My sister who lives in Kingston called last night to give me the sad news of Carol's passing. I am so very sorry- it is not fair that she left this world so very soon. For her husband - you must be very special to have gained Carol's heart. I am so sorry for all of her family and friends. May she rest in peace. God Bless
