Carol Ann Kovach, 81, beloved wife of Mr. Alexander Kovach, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Regency House in Wallingford. Born in Putnam on November 7, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Germaine (Provencher) Rainey.
Carol Ann worked for the Wallingford B.O.E and Police Department until her retirement. She was a talented painter, knitter and quilter.
In addition to her husband, Carol Ann is survived by her cherished sons, Scott Kovach and his wife, Maureen of Higganum and James Kovach and his wife, Tara of Southbury; her grandsons, Daniel and Ethan Kovach; her brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Gail Rainey of Wallingford and Donald and Holly Rainey of Wallingford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Lauren Kovach.
Carol Ann’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Thursday, March 30th from 9:00 until 11:00am. A parlor service will be held at 11:00am. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Carol Ann and Al when our daughter, Tara, married James. I always enjoyed chatting with Carol Ann about our mutual love of painting/crafting, dogs and good food.
