Carol Jean Lillehaugen

Our dearly beloved Carol, age 82, of Golden Valley, died on March 31st, 2021.

Carol grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from West High. She worked at General Mills where she met her husband MeRoy Lillehaugen. They married in 1960 and enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage. She was a homemaker who loved to entertain her family and many friends both at home and also at the lake. Carol was a true caretaker who could be counted on to help anyone in times of trouble or need. Her goal in life was to make others happy. Her hobbies included gardening, photography, decorating her home - especially for holidays, reading, and playing games. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising which took her to many parts of the world.

Carol was the very caring and loving matriarch of her family. She is survived by her husband MeRoy, children, Mark (Carolyn), Kent, Karen (Kurt) Kreienbrink, and Bryan (Debra). She is also survived by grandchildren, Paul, Timothy, Matthew, and Luke Lillehaugen, Kendra, Kailey, and Kaden Kreienbrink, Alyssa, and Eric Lillehaugen, and brothers Robert (Beverly) Sands, and Thomas (Sandra) Sands and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Dolores Sands, brother Stephen Sands, and sister-in-law, Geri Sands.

Funeral services, Monday April 12, 11:00 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church. The service is limited to immediate family, and will also be livestreamed. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
