Carol Musial (DesJardins), 79, of Naperville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, at home with her husband.

Carol was born on February 14th, 1945 in LaGrange to Harold and Mildred DesJardins. She grew up in Brookfield and carried the values of kindness, generosity, and love of family throughout her life.

On October 15th, 1965, she married the love of her life, Donald Musial, and together they built a life full of love, travel, and treasured memories. Carol was a devoted wife, a caring mother, and a cherished grandmother who filled her family's lives with warmth and joy.

Carol found joy in life's simple pleasures-spending time with her family, golfing, skiing, and most importantly, relaxing at the beach at her beloved lake house. Her laughter, strength, and love of life were a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Her strength and courage in death were beyond inspirational.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Musial, and her two sons: Michael (JoEllyn) Musial, along with their children Mark, Joseph, Meredith, and Sarah; and Paul (Claire) Musial, along with their children Quinn and Reid. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mildred DesJardins, and her brothers, Jan and Ralph DesJardins.

A funeral service will be held on February 21st at 10:30 at St Raphael's in Naperville. Lunch celebration of her life will follow at Alpine Banquets in Darien at 12:00.

Carol's legacy of love and devotion to her family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
