Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 3, 2025.

Carol Ruth Zigerelli Orsini, age 74, of Garland, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26,2025 at home surrounded by her family.

Carol was born September 15, 1950 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to Lawrence John Zigerelli and Caroline LaRocca Zigerelli Guantonio.

Carol grew up in Beaver Falls, PA. Carol's father Lawrence was a casualty of the Korean War when Carol was an infant, leaving her mother to raise her. Carol's grandparents John and Angeline LaRocca of Beaver Falls were instrumental in raising Carol, providing her a foundation of support in her childhood, and were influential to Carol throughout their lives. Carol graduated from Beaver Falls High School. Carol later received her Bachelor's degree in education, Master's degree in education, and was a Licensed Professional Counselor. Carol moved to Garland, Texas where she worked for Garland ISD for over 30 years in many roles, including special education, elementary school counselor, and as a Home School Facilitator working to help families seek early childhood intervention. Carol positively impacted the lives of so many children throughout her career.

Carol was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, mother, cousin and adored Gigi. As an only child, Carol cherished her family, especially her grandparents, her cousins that were her "siblings" growing up, and most of all her grandsons who were the biggest blessings of her life in her eyes. Carol enjoyed being with family and friends. A highlight was always a good Sunday movie and lunch with her dearest of friends. Carol enjoyed baking and never missed an opportunity to make something special for her grandsons. Carol will be forever cherished by those who knew her and will be truly missed.

Carol is survived by her daughter Laura Orsini Villani and husband Steve of Prosper, Texas, and grandsons Cameron Villani and Andrew Villani.

Carol is preceded in death by her father Lawrence and mother Caroline, and stepfather Michael Guantonio. She is also preceded in death by her beloved LaRocca and Zigerelli grandparents.
