Carol Potts
Carol Potts, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend died peacefully April 14, 2023.
Carol Martha (Beale) Potts was born June 9, 1943, in Alexandria, VA to Ulysses Grant Beale and Adeline Horton Beale. She graduated from Groveton High School in 1961 and worked for her entire career in Patent and Trademark Services. After she retired, she volunteered at Mount Vernon estate.
She was active in the church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, Fellowship coordinator and member of the choir.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert Honold; daughters Julie Grindle and Sharon Apricena; brother Don Beale; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5952 Franconia Rd., Alexandria, VA, followed by a reception. Committal will take place at Mount Comfort cemetery at 1:30 p.m. that day. Donations may be made to: The Mount Vernon Ladies' Association; St. John's Lutheran Church; or a charity of your choice.
